Raw Cane Sugar or Minimally Refined Brown Sugar is an easy substitute for Refines White Sugar found in our kitchens. OOO Farms’ Raw Cane Sugar has the added benefit of being extracted from non-hybrid sugarcane varieties.
Raw Cane Sugar is different from Brown Sugar in that even though brown sugar is not bleached, it is still a highly processed product. Raw Cane Sugar, on the other hand, goes through minimal refining and even tends to ferment due to the same reason.
According to scientific studies, Raw Cane Sugar retains some of the phenolics often found missing in white sugar. It is also found to contain some naturally occurring trace minerals like Selenium, Potassium and Magnesium.
